"Kashmir" is a disputed land between India and Pakistan, where Islam and Shia religions have been introduced since the beginning of the 8th century AH and have been welcomed by its people. The tendency towards Imami Shiism in different parts of this land has always been increasing and over time, the Imami Shia religion has gained strong foundations in this geographical point. The main problem that this research seeks to solve is the investigation of the grounds and factors of the expansion of Shia Imamia in the Kashmir region. The optimal use of its capacities in the direction of spreading the teachings of the Qur'an and Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and expanding the Shia Imamiyya religion further depends on the discovery and explanation of the historical background of Islam and Shiism in this region. Therefore, the present article has tried to investigate this issue by using the method of description and analysis. The findings of the research have shown that the esoteric and Sufi orientation of the people of Kashmir was the main reason for their orientation towards Islam and Shiism, and the following factors played an essential role in the spread of Shiism in this place: the religious, scientific and cultural activities of missionaries and Sufis. , the rule of Shiite rulers, the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the activities of a new generation of scholars trained in Qom and Najaf.
