With the increase and specialization of professions in the Abbasid era, professional ethics became an orderly necessity in the market. In order to establish professional ethics, the caliphate instituted the establishment of the governmental-supervisory institution Dar al-Hasbah. The guardian of this institution relied on the foundations of Islamic religion and was engaged in supervision in the form of enjoining good and forbidding evil.
The auditors of this era wrote many works for the guidance of their colleagues. In fact, these texts reflect the professional ethics in the Abbasid era, which expressed the moral duties and responsibilities of the writers using two positive and negative strategies. Among the many and varied supervisions of the auditors, the supervision of the clothing industry after food was the most and the most extensive of their supervisory tasks in the market. This research intends to examine the professional ethics in the clothing industry by reviewing important and accessible books.
According to this problem, the approach of descriptive research and the use of quantitative data with a comparative method. According to the results of the research, compliance with responsibility, trustworthiness and good ethics respectively have the largest number of examples in the positive category and lying, short-selling, hoarding and usury have the largest number of components in the negative group from the point of view of auditors.
