In the years 1839-1842 / 1255-1258 A.H. Following the Lahore Triangle Treaty, which was signed between Shah Shuja, the exiled ruler of Afghanistan, Renjit Sing, the powerful ruler of Peshawar, and Elphinston, the political representative of the British government, the British Indian troops officially set foot in Afghanistan. The official arrival of the British military was met with a negative reaction from the tribal system of this country. Britain was forced to leave Afghanistan after three years of official presence with heavy military casualties; But it left deep cultural, social and political consequences. This article intends to use the descriptive-analytical method to evaluate the most important results of the official presence of the British military in different dimensions. It seems that one of its consequences is the formation of a harsh and oppressive image of Western civilization and culture in the public opinion. After three centurires, a tough battle is going on between the values of Western civilization and traditional beliefs. Western culture did not rule, nor did Afghanistan return to pre-modern traditions; Rather, it always remained in the purgatory of tradition and modernity. The findings show that the second result was the formation of a new social order as a result of the determination of political boundaries, and the third result of this military presence was the growth and expansion of nationalist culture in different dimensions.
