The Qutb Shahian government was one of the governments that was established in the Deccan region after the extinction of the Bahmani government and declared the Shia religion as the official religion of its government. In the period in question, although the prestige and importance of Sadat and Shiites were high for the governments, but in the areas under the command of these Shiite rulers, there was a predominance of population with Sunnis and natives of the region. In such a situation, Qutb Shahi rulers promoted various aspects of Shiite culture. The issue of interest in this research is that, despite the fact that Shiites are a minority compared to other religious groups, how were religious holidays celebrated in this period and what factors influenced it. In this research, we intend to analyze the quality of holding religious holidays and the factors influencing it by analyzing the sources of this period.
After examining and analyzing the available sources, it was concluded that in the Deccan region, with the support of rulers and prominent Shia figures and influenced by the traditions of Iranian immigrants to India and natives living in the subcontinent, some religious festivals were held on a large scale during this period, and with measures that It was considered by the organizers that many people, both Shia and non-Shia, participated in these programs, and holding these celebrations played an effective role in familiarizing non-Shia groups and even non-Muslims of this region with the Shia religion.
