The arrival of Islam in Africa led to many developments, especially
in the political and social ones. The Arab conquerors, with thehelp of
the barbarians, surrounded the land to Andalusia. The barbarians hoped
that as a result of these conquests and in the new Muslim sovereignty,
they would be given the same position as the Arab worriers; Butmostly
this was not achieved, especially during the early arrival of the Arabs.
In addition, Arab migration to Africa had consequences at various
places, including the formation of opposing groups with the central
dominance, the Umayyad Caliphate. The discriminatory and often
violent behavior of Arab governors during this period led to widespread
protests by barbarians and natives. Therefore, during the movements,
the barbarians demonstrated their protests to the situation, which
resulted in the formation of governments.
The present study seeks to investigate the causes of African social
movements (the era of Umayyad and Abbasid governors) based on
Johnson's revolutionary transformation theory and with the assumption
that the change of the African social system, the discredit of the central
government and the stagnation of power, had an impact on these
movements.
