One of the notable features of Iran during the Safavid era was the increase in the number of tourists and European ambassadors to Iran. Most of these people have left their observations in the form of a travelogue. The data in these travelogues covers a significant part of the social and cultural information gaps of the Iranian society during this period. In addition to this important aspect of informing, another special value of travelogues is a comparative look at the dimensions of Iran's civilization with the West. Most of them have consciously compared some of the technical, productional virtues and even buildings and structures of Iran with Europe. Examining the direct comparative effects in these travelogues is the subject of research in this article. The main question of the research is which of the civilizational manifestations of Safavid era Iran has been subjected to direct comparison by the European tourists of this period? And also, have these comparisons registered significant differences? The investigations of this research show that some urban structures and manufacturing industries, especially textile workshops, have attracted the attention of Europeans more than others in this comparison, and in the meantime, the urban spaces of Isfahan among other things have been more subjected to direct comparison with European urban structures. At the same time, the final results of these comparisons show that there was no serious gap between the different aspects of Iran's civilization and the West in those days.
