Globalization has been sought by man and by religions since the beginning of human history; however, this process is now making its way from the West to the East, producing effects that are not very clear. The issue has never been approached from the angle of discourse analysis; therefore, a question is posed as to how political Islam has been impacted when restlessly encountering globalization in Egypt and Tunisia (question). The present article is based on the assumption that a new formation, which contains signs and signifiers in opposition to the articulation of political Islam discourse, has occurred in the discourse of political Islam in the two countries (hypothesis). The article is aimed at identifying the main reasons why the formation of political Islam has changed in two figures (Qaradawi and Ghannushi) and two parties (Muslim Brotherhood and Ennahdha) (purpose). Using an extensive set of verbal and nonverbal data including reports, historical events, interviews and declarations, the article tries to investigate the thoughts of political Islamist leaders and representatives in Egypt and Tunisia (method). The formation of post political Islam in conflicts and communications related to globalization and political Islam constitutes the achievement of the present article (finding).
