Due to its geopolitical situation, the Indian subcontinent has enjoyed its considerable resources which tempted the invasion of England. Since their entrance to India in 1600, England have achieved their dominance over this country, however facing fierce opposition of Indian people, England had to declare the independence of this country. The role of Muslims and Hindus in gaining independence is not clearly analyzed! Therefore, the present paper will study the comparison between the role of Muslims and Hindus in gaining independence of the Indian subcontinent (Question). It seems Muslims’ role and their non-cooperation movement in gaining independence is not less important than Hindus’ (Hypothesis). Proving the significant role of Muslims in this struggle would demonstrate their significant impact in gaining freedom and independence of the Indian subcontinent (Purpose). Library research and descriptive – analytical methods were applied in the present study (Methodology). The results would represent the ability of Islam in convergence with non-Muslims (Hindus) in overthrowing foreigner’s power and indicating Muslims’ influence in achieving national and major purposes (Finding).
