The Almohad movement, as one of the most influential political and religious movements of the sixth century AH in the Maghreb, was established through the efforts of Muhammad ibn Tumart and the promotion of new ideological principles, and it soon gained authority with the support of various tribes in the Maghreb and Al-Andalus. This study focuses on the continuity and consolidation of the political system after Ibn Tumart, particularly during the reign of ʿAbd al-Muʾmin ibn ʿAli. This period not only involved the establishment of a political system but also witnessed initiatives in civilizational domains, transforming the Almohad movement into a powerful governing authority. Employing an analytical approach and emphasizing historical sources, the research seeks to answer the question: What transformations did the Almohad movement undergo after Ibn Tumart, and how did it evolve into a political and civilizational system? The findings suggest that ʿAbd al-Muʾmin ibn ʿAli successfully preserved Ibn Tumart’s ideological legacy while implementing political, administrative, and civilizational reforms, resulting in the transformation of the initial movement into a powerful state and marking the period of Almohad prosperity. This research examines the conditions of the Almohads after Ibn Tumart, and discusses the continuation of the Almohad movement and its transformation into a state power.
