Abstract
The causes and contexts of the collapse of the British Empire in the Persian Gulf (1971-1968 AD)
Abstract: From the 18th century, the British Empire penetrated into the Persian Gulf and the Oman Sea, which in later periods became undisputed political, military and economic sovereignty. The natural location as one of the gateways to India and then the discovery of huge oil reserves are the main reasons for its privileged position. and this region was strategic in the foreign policy of the London government. The scope of the all-round conquest caused it to be referred to the Persian Gulf, the English Gulf. The military and economic power of Britain as the largest colonial empire in the world caused its conquest to continue in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf until the end. The Second World War began. Since the end of the Second World War, a series of internal and external political, economic and military factors caused the decline of British power and ultimately caused the withdrawal of its military units from the Persian Gulf in the late 60s/40s. The purpose of this research is to examine the various factors involved in the process of the decline of the British Empire's power and its exit from the Persian Gulf region. The finding of the article is that the process of decline of Britain's global position has taken place in a gradual process and a series of negative causes has caused military withdrawal from the vital area of the Persian Gulf. Based on this, the withdrawal of British military forces from the Persian Gulf has been forced as a result of these destructive factors.
