Aims and Scope

Aims

  1. To advance and deepen scholarly inquiry into Islamic history, with a particular focus on foundational issues in Muslim-majority societies.
  2. To foster global historical scholarship by drawing on the transnational intellectual and cultural capacities of the Al-Mustafa International University.
  3. To promote the institutionalization of international collaborative research in historical studies.
  4. To establish scholarly authority in the field of global historical research, particularly in areas pertaining to the Islamic world.
  5. To enhance the epistemological and methodological rigor of historical knowledge.
  6. To strengthen transnational historical research with a clearly defined scholarly purpose and analytical depth.
  7. To encourage transcentric approaches to historical inquiry, centered on the intellectual and civilizational core of the Islamic world.
  8. To support contemporary historical scholarship, with emphasis on the history of Shi‘ism, the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), Islamic civilization, and broader Islamic history.
